What exactly is the adjustment on the overflow box.Mine has two thumb screws that adjust the inside of the overflow box, the part that is in the tank. up or down. What does it do and where should it be???
the lower it is the lower the waterline in your tank will be (and the higher the level in your sump will be) and the higher vise versa. It should be anywhere you want the waterline in the aquarium to be and you can add or remove water to get the appropriate sump level.

Thank you Stan, I have it as low as it will go and the waterline in the aquarium is really high. Up to the frame. Just though it may have worked the oppisite way. I guess i'll leave it alone
if the overflow part in the water in at its lowest and ur water level in ur DT in still high..ur return pump might be a little too strong..or u need to clean out the filter sponge in ur overflow box..
I agree either your pump is a little too strong or your overflow needs some cleaning your water level should be close to the bottom of the teeth on your overflow. If you are running a stockman stand pipe it might be causing the high water level and may need some adjustment.
