Overflow noise?

I got my refugium up and running,but my HOB overflow is really noisey.Is there something I can do to elimanate the noise?it's comeing from where the water drains to the refugium. :notsure:

The pipe / hose etc going to the refrug must be above the water line that is why you are having splash noise I am thinking you could make the line longer to where it is below water line and the noise will be gone. :joy:

Do a search for durso standpipe. It is installed on your overflow. You might be able to install it in your HOB overflow.

Thanks again guys! Got it! The only noise I have now is a little splasing water when it comes out of the pipe and I can live with that.

I place a towel over my overflow box. It helps too. Also, I lengthened the bulkhead piece so it is under the water level when it hits the sump.
