Overflow / Sump / Wet-Dry

I am so new and still trying to get all the info B4 I buy anything. So I am thinking that the overflow goes down to which the wet-dry or the sump, then to the other, then back to the tank? What is the path of the water? What is the best order to go? The skimmer goes in the sump or the wet dry? I am totally new so please forgive me if I am all confussed. Thanks for any help that I get

You don't have both a wet/dry and a sump. You have one or the other. I have a sump. You can have a sump and a refuseum. I have a refuseum built into my sump. You can also have a separate refuseum.

Ok so is the sump just extra water and a place to hide skimmer, heater, and such? I mean you have LS and LR in there but that is it? Sorry for being new but what exactly is a Refuseum? Thanks for the help so far mate!
