a es5-2 euro reef on a 40 gallon tank?the skimmer is rated for 75 gallons.will it have any ADVERSE/NEGATIVE affects?

IMO that's about the right sized skimmer.

That will work well. I just pulled a ER CS6-1 off of my 29 that was performing well (a great trade opportunity involving my skimmer came along and one of the items in return was an AquaC EV-180, which will be used in place of the ER).
