oyster madness

we have an oyster in one of our tanks and last night he went crazy <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" /> he started opening and closing really fast and so much that he blew a hole in the sand....why is he doing this <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" /> i've never seen him do this before

I have two oysters in my tank. Havn't seen that behavior yet. they are pretty docile, don't even move arround the tank. Where did you get yours? I got mine at the local seafood market for 50 cents each.

i got mine at my lfs, it was $40...its called a thorny oyster

Hey , sorry to say, but my four have not done enything yet... How do you care for them, what kind of food, and water movement, oh ya light?
