yea!!!!!!!! i'm finally a certified diver. it was fun but lake travis was only like 8ft visibility. really sucks not being able to see. also we camped out last night froze my but off. when it's like 93 during the day its not supposed to get down to 58 at night. we had to go down 2 flights of steps to get down to the water but it was very pretty out there. heres a few pics of the lake and our group.
8 feet isnt too bad. When I took my check out dives I had somewhere between 6 inches to 2 feet of visibility. One good thing is that if you can learn to dive safely in bad conditions you can pretty much dive anywhere in the world.

I cant wait for good visibility the best I have had is 2 to 5 feet. The ocean was fun though. went to the USS Sherman wreck a 55' dive. Going to barracuda alley on the 19th a 65' dive. I have 4 hours logged in 9 dives so far, and you are right the Quarry is nothing like the ocean.
