P.P.M. digital meter vs Hydrometer

PPM meter, parts per million meter? which is a TDS total disolved solids meter. A TDS meter is used to check RO/DI water. It is used to see how purified your water is. A hydrometer is used to how salty your water is. A Refractometer is better than a Hydrometer because it tests for Specific gravity. A refractometer is the way to go.

All in one no. The instrument needs to know what it is testing for. They are individualized. They have individual ones for PH, Temperature, Calcium, Phosphate, Nitrate, Salinity, o2 level. I am not sure what others I am missing. These little monitors do get expensive. $100 - $250. Imagine what a ALL in one instrument would go for. WOW

I think milwauke intruments makes alot of those digital meters, definitely pricey. I was looking at a nitrate photometer for like $200+. I'm still undecided, definitely accurate, yet I don't know if its worth the $$ in the long run...
