padding under in-sump pump?

I've got a MAG9 that I'll be using inside a sump. After doing a test run I noticed that the pump vibrates on the glass - which equals noise and movement of the pump which is attached with flex hose.
What could I put under the pump to prevent this... that would also be safe and not decompose/leach stuff into the water??

Hmmmmmm interesting question. Maybe put a ball of silicon on each foot of the pump? You can either silicon it in place in the tank, or let it dry and it should absorb some of the vibration.

Silcon --- I would have never thought of that. What a great idea!
And I just happen to have some left over from putting baffles in my sump. I think I'll put some on the bottom of the pump and let it dry.
THANKS.

well my answer to all that noise is solved !
I used a rubber kneeling pad( just the ones for the knees) it cost about $6 . used it on my mag 9 and 12 it fits perfect and silent
at first I thought it was the pump and I do have a glass sump , but the answer is solved and I cant stand that type of noise.
PS it does not decomposed its been in for a year.
good luck
