Pagoda rock

Before I bought live rock, I set up my tank using Pagoda rock. I went back to the lfs that I bought it from and asked if I could use it for base rock. He said that I can and that other people use it for that. I have about 20 lbs. that I would like to use as my base rock. I just wanted to get y'all opinion on the matter. I am not sure if I am spelling it right (Pagoda?) because I can't find anything about it on line.

about how much does it cost?

He had it marked as a $1.50 lb but he gave me a discount so I paid about $55.00 for 60 lbs.
