Paint Question

Hi Again,
I am thinking of adding a mechanical filter to my set up. I like the Eheim 2213 canister model. The only thing I do not like about Eheim, is that they have green hoses.
Is there a type of paint that would be safe to spray the hoses that go into the tank blue, to match my back ground?
Thanks again for the help :)

I could probably use other hoses. Eheim's hoses are metric in diameter size, and is usally hard to find a standard size to fit.
But trying to "rig" something with a clear hose would probably be the best bet. I was really lost on what to do with the "spray bar" that is green. This is what would really need to be painted..

Well it ain't gonna be cheap but it can be done. Aquatic Eco-Systems sells a fish safe, 2 part epoxy paint in a variety of colors. It's about 50 bucks and they only sell it in gallons, on top of the price the shipping is HAZMAT and runs about 28 bucks too  A two part NSF-61 certified epoxy paint is the only paint I know of that is fish/reef safe. Sorry I couldn't bring you better news but I've spent the last year almost in the research and construction of my tank and believe me, I've looked all over for a less expensive alternative paint.
Good luck whatever you decide.
Later,
Paul

MelbourneFL,
Thanks for the info. Maybe I will just buy more LR and hide the hoses :p For the price of the paint, I could get about 10-15lbs LR. It would be a good excuse to tell the wife..
Thanks again for all the help

Why don't you just go buy clear tubing that is just a bit to small. Then take a lighter or something and heat it up. Then it will be soft enough to shove it on where it has to go. Just an idea.
