What kind of paint do you use to paint the back of the tank.

i used acrylic craft paint for my 90ga - wal mart called ocean reef blue(in the fabric dept.) color only cost me $1.80 and i uses the sponge to apply the paint

I used flat black oil based paint.
Just mask the trim off and be sure to wash the surface to be painted with denatured alcohol first to clean off any oils left from finger prints.
I used a roller and did it in three coats . Looks AWESOME.

You can use any water based paint ( if you can clean with water it is water based )
Gloss or flat when it is looked at through the glass it will look the same due to the glass
I rolled a trim paint on mine

Get it with a high-gloss though, it handles the moisture better.

You Can Even Use High Temp Engine/caliper Paint. Very Durable. Goodluck Finding A Good Blue Though. Black Is Readily Available And In Stock.
