Painted background pictures, please post

Ok everyone, help me out here.....please!! I have a new tank and would like to paint the background, just haven't decided which color. Can anyone that has a painted background post a picture with the name of the color you choose!! Any help would be appreciated, in helping me decide. :help:

I dont have a pic but you could do a fade black on the bottom fading in to Dark blue Once agian Fade in to a lighter blue to the top

That is a thought...thanks!! I just know at the LFS I attend quite often, they had a lighter blue and I didn't like that!!

Not the best pic, but this is my 75 with a blue painted background. I dont remember the exact color but it was a Krylon Acrylic spary paint.

a blue background will make corals stand out more, the black seems to make fish stand out more

i happen to disagree there. IMO, the black background makes the realy bright colors stand out a lot better. I think having the darker background in general makes the colors look brighter and better, and for some reason, i have alwasy found the blue backgroudns to look fake for some reason

Thanks I was going blue with a FOWLR but now think I will go with black...

Yes I had my fish in a tank with light blue background and when I switched it to a new tank with black background I noticed that my fish looked better.

Thanks for everyone's opinions....now I guess it's getting decision time!!! Even if I got a little more confused!! lol :notsure: Anyone have any other pics, or any with black backgrounds?? Thanks Again!!!

Use chrome illusion also known as flip flop. You could be featured on pimp my tank.

Just to let everyone know....I decided to go with black and I couldn't be more pleased. Tank looks awesome and blends in with all the black "material things" that go with it!!
