Anyone know if you can paint return pipes and drain pipes to match the black on the tank wall. Also what type of paint should one use or is safe to use for intank use?

No because I've looked. Even marine paints for boats and things are not recomended for constant underwater contact.
.However, they do sell black PVC pipe. HD only carries the 2" & 5" size, (at least the ones in my neighborhood) so you'll have to go to a plumbing supply and use sprinkler line if you want 1" or 1.5".

Is this a new paint or something?
Because about 8 months ago I looked into this searched every home improvement center and read the label of every can known to man. Even things that said they were "totally waterproof," recomended that the product not be completely submerged in water for an extensive period of time.
Does the label say it's good for underwater use? :notsure:

Well they say on the tube of 100% silicone not recomended for aquarium or marine use. They also was saying that about southdown tropical play sand, and both these products have been used in this hobby for years. So you can't always go by what the laabel says, but what the ingredients are. I don't know I'm just a newbie.
