I am setting up a 5.5 gallon nano and want to spray paint the back of the tank black. Can someone recommend a specific color or brand I should be looking for?

Go black. It looks great. Just use newspaper and masking tape and mask off the rest of the tank so no spray paint or overspray gets inside the tank or on the sides.

I used 2.5% limo window tint.
It looks great and can easily be removed if you make a mistake or change your mind.

I use black krylon without problems. Once dry it is said to be lead free and non toxic. I have used it to paint items for inside the tank as well i.e. pvc plumbing without problems.
