Does spray painting the outside of your aquarium effect your tank at all? I have heard not to use any cleaning products or air fresheners arond my aquariums. Is this true? I have spray painted most of my tanks and it is well worth the look (the 46 bow was a pain in the ass to do!) What methods do you prefer?

If the tank is empty,and given plenty of time too dry OUTSIDE you should be OK.But I wouldn't try it with a full tank.Or even painting one tank while another up and running tank is in the same room.I used self adhesive backing material on all my tanks.Just pull off the film and the sheet sticks to the back of the tank...
