Pairing maroon clowns

If two unpaired maroons are added to a tank at the same time, will they become a pair or do they need to be purchased as a pair? Thanks.

purchase a pair they are extremly agresive i have a mated pair they bite the snap out of me

Is a pair much more aggressive than a single maroon? Would a pair be ok with other semi-aggresive fish? Thanks.
