At least 95% of the money the candidates spend on their campaigns is donated. I know they both get some amount from our tax dollars, but it's nowhere near the millions you see these two guys spending. Like I said, if they want to spend a couple million on designer clothes and fancy hairdos, that's their perogative. If you don't like it, don't donate money to their campaign. My understanding is pretty much all these clothes you see them buying will be donated to charity once the election is over. At least that's what Palin's camp said she's doing with hers.

Like it or not, this is a TV event, and you do have to spend $$ to look presentable. And this is for the most powerful seat in the nation. You have have to look REALLY presentable. And in our society that means rediculously expensive clothes.

Name a politician that hasn't. Your constant reference to Palin shows an agenda...all politicians do this, why is it a big deal that Palin did this and not the others. Not once have you mentioned anyone else..just Palin, shows a biased motive and it isn't the tax dollars wasted.

The whole point of this report is to just malign someone in the hopes of picking off a few votes.

Great Point being as Sarah is trying to come off as a reformer. Charging the state per diem while she stayed in her own home.
As for Michelle, I saw a clip from the view where her dress was like $125.
Cindy McCain get up at RNC was like 350,000.
Obama traveled but he did not charge the state for his kids travel.

But think about this, do you know how much it costs to operate a that jet? About 1,200 dollars an hr, minus paying for the pilot and maintenance hanger space landing fees. So remove that, then complain because she went to meeting with her kids that cost 20k on Alaska Air or whatever she flew. It doesn't make any sense...

He is no better than her if he used tax dollars to get his family around either then. I'm not slandering any body that doesn't deserve it. It's tax payer dollars you should have a right to speak your mind were it gets used.
