Anybody have any advise to give on what the best possible conditions might be for a few heads of palys?
We have a contest going where everybody gets the same amount of heads and we see who has the most heads in 2 months.
So what is the best possible conditions for lighting, calcium, mag, temp, salinity ect.
And would it help to have them on a flat surface or maybe placed on a verticle surface might entice them to populate more?
Just some thoughts :)
Thanks

Low to Moderate lighting and good flow - enough to wave the skirts, but not to force them to close up. Keep you alkalinity up.

Protopalythoa (assuming that's what you mean) can derive a lot of energy from actively feeding. Blend a mix of seafood including scallops, squid, etc. and feed them with the waterflow off. They should close around the food in slow motion. Keep Calcium and Alkalinity up where it belongs, especially Alkalinity. 35 - 37ppt Salinity and although they grow faster at 85F they don't seem to split faster so I'd suggest 82F.
