Panther Grouper

We have one and he seems to be changing colors from a white body to a black. Is that normal?

Yes it's completely normal. My panther grouper when I got it, it was around 3 in. completely white. Now it's around 5 in. and is now a darker color. When they are full grown they are usualy brown, but if you are lucky you can get a white one.

I also had one before about 2 in when i bought him.. but the sucker got to about 9 so he was to big. and from what i have heard (dunno how true) that they will stay white until they get full grown, but if they get darker at a juvinile stage, it is from stress but is ok

All elimates in the tank are where they are suppose to be. He has been in our tank about a month. He is about 4 to 5 inches.
He sure is a great addition to the tank.
