Is it true that Panter Groupers are considered "reef safe" and "shrimp safe" when they are small? Please let me know what you think. THanks

Definitely not. I have seen even tiny panther groupers eat shrimp.

Panther groupers grow large and they do it pretty fast. Not a reef fish by any stretch......They also get ugly when they get bigger and lose there black/white color.
