Parasite anemones

I recently bought a large tank and am still learning a lot. Recently I have been watching what my lfs says is a parasite anemones. It almost looks like a featherduster but is orange in color and the "stem" is kind of transparent. It moves around to where it wants to be & more are springing up. Is it really something to worry about or should I just let it be??

Yeah its aptasia. Ask if your LFS can get some peppermint shrimp in

Copper band butterfly took care of all mine and he is a really cool fish

I don't recommend Copperbands for new hobbiests. They are not the easiest fish to keep.

You can also buy Joe's Juice. It will kill the anemones without harming the rest of the tank.

just curious, what will they do if gone untreated?

They will multiply uncontrollably and sting everything they can reach.
