Parasite on Bafish??

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know what this thing is right above the eye of my batfish?? Is it a parasite or some sort of a symbiotic relation?? Do I need to remove it somehow?? I could use the help...Thanks

That's a parasitic isopod. You can remove it with tweezers if you can catch the fish. Unless it was on the fish when you bought it there are probably many more. Google" isopod removal".

Thank you LSU...I appreciate it...one more question...would it hurt the fish if I did nt remove it or removing it is a must?? and would this parasite hatch and infest the whole aquarium? Thanks

You need to remove it asap. They reproduce rapidly, can and will kill your fish.
