Partial quotes

Being a tech idiot (Or Electronically Challenged if you're P.C.) I need some help. How do I quote just a portion of a post when I add my 2 cents to an existing thread? There must be instructions somewhere....Thanks!

I just quote the whole thing then delete the portions that I dont need,
if I want to quote multiple parts and reply between quotes I copy and paste the end quote and begin quote commands into the sections I want them divided into.

copy and past what you want to quote....for example "[the fish ate cheese] at the store" you'd copy n paste that n your msg...then highlight it and theres a lil bubble that looks like whats on comics..between the insert image and the lil one that looks like this # click that n itll look like whats below
the fish ate cheese

I like doing the multiple quotes this way that way the quote has the user name and the link to the post quoted in the quote bubble
