Passionate about seahorses...questions

Hey all you seahorse people!
I love seahorses, and I plan to get some. I had seahorses when I was young, and I saw some recently in a pet store and I think it would be fun to have them again.
Now, I know the "biggest tank you can afford rule," but I saw a 24 gallon Aquapod with about 5 thriving seahorses, and this is the setup I want to go with. (although I probably only want 2 or 3 seahorses)
Am I setting myself up for a nightmare of a time maintaning this tank? Is 24 gallons managable enough so that my seahorses will live? Any tips before I take the plunge and get the equipment?

Sorry I just saw this. I think a 24 would be okay for 2 horses, depending on the type. Make sure you get CB (captive bred) they are much easier to care for. I would also get horses that are already eating frozen.

Hello! I recommend seahorse.org to you, it's a great website and a very valuable source for information. It's also recommended to get a "tall" tank, at least 2X the adult size of your horse, as they like to swim vertically and when they breed that is the height they go to for egg transfers.
I agree with alyssia, try to get captive bred specimens that are taking frozen mysis shrimp. You'll make it easier on yourself and avoid future problems.
Good Luck!
