patches on live rock

Hello,
We have round light green, almost white patches on out live rock. They look kind of fuzzy and don't seem to be spreading or really growing.
Any help on what they might be would be good.
Thanks

My guess would be coraline. If the tank has been up and running for a couple of months would be just about the right time for it to start growing. The way to know for sure though is check and see if any of these green spots make it onto the glass. If they are hard to scrape off it is coraline. Other than that a picture could help a lot for an id.

I have some 'white fuzzy' stuff on my LR as well. I do not know what is on yours, but mine is a sponge.

These are the best pictures I could get. You can see the patch in the middle of the live rock. I touched one of them and they are soft and squishy.
Thanks

I'm afraid I can't see what you do. But sometimes sponges will grow on live rock. I have a piece that is loaded with green sponges about the size of a quarter. Sponges are good for the tank, will filter out nitrates. This means your tank is doing just fine.
Any chance of taking another pic in macro setting?

No it doesn't shrink up. We have about 5 of them and they don't really do anything. They don't really seem to be changing either.
