leave the sand in the tank with just enough water to keep it wet.
put the rock in one or two buckets and keep it submerged.... when you get home let the tank sit for like 20 minutes then put a dinner plate on the sand and slowly pour water on top of the dinner plate to prevent too much sand from stirring up. after you go the water up to like halfway... pull the plate, add the rock back... and add the rest of the water slowly.. hook up the powerheads and light.. good to go.

AC70 i think its $50.00 at my local PC. then get yourself like 1 nice sized peice of acyrlic and mod it then you should be fine. mine works awsome. if i can get a camara i will take a few pics of it. then if you get a few more $$$ the go to the DRS and but a small fuge light. i think its like $25.00 so its not to bad.
you could skip the skimmer its not really needed for the smaller nanos. unless you arnt really into doing a who lot of water changes.

aqua clear. you could probly even go with the next size up if you wanted. its got a little bit more room and some more flow. i didnt like the idea of more flow cuz in the fuge water shouldnt be moving fast anyway. i run mine with carbon and cheto right now. im waiting for my mud and then she should be perfect.

hey pat, or any1 in this thread that can answer this... i am also planningo n upgrading my lights (for a 24gal nano cube)
which would be the better choice to go with
the nova extreeme or the sunpod?... im assuming the one i would need is the 150watt sunpod and the 20inch nova extreme pro 6x18 what u have..
changing out 6 bulbs could get pricey no?.. as oposed to 1 MH sunpod.. ?.. all info would be greatly apreciated. thanks in advance... and glad to hear your tank made it back home..

[RONNIE] i would personally go with the MH's/sunpod. i have a 20g that i am building a retroing a MH light into it with 2 T5's. the only reason i am doing this is because i know that MH's are the best and that you will probly want to upgrade them eventaully anyway. so if you can get the sunpod i would go that route.
as far as cost for bulbs: there are 6 bulbs in the nova and at $10.00 ea. thats $60.00 and i think a desent MH bulb is around $50-75.00 so its not really a big difference imo.
hope that helps

i would go with the nova fixture. personaly i love the look that it puts out and you have six bulbs to play around with. there are ifferent colors tht yo can put in it to get some great colors out of your corals!!! but i think the sunpod with 2 T5 HO lights moded with it would look really good. i dont thnk the mh bulb by itself is very good look

put it on a tray so that it's easy to remove.
