Patriot54's 12 gallon

if you are running stock eclipse lights i dont know if thats coraline algae. I had a rock covered in it and my 18watt coralife light caused a lot of the algae to start bleaching...just a thought i dunno

My filter is 150 gallons per hour and the maxi-jet 600 is 160 gph. I think there is quite a bit of flow. Is it enough?

I don't think that it is coralline either. The picture isn't very good, but there are alot of "craters" on it. I do have coralline growing in my tank and I compared the two and I think it is like a spong of some sort.

you currently have a 25x turnover rate. so for softies your good, if you plan on keeping something like LPS, SPS than your going to need more flow. but upgrading that maxi jet to a koralia nano, and your good for what ever you wanted. and it would give it more of a random flow rather than a jet stream with the maxi jet.....
but its your tank, not trying to have you spend money.

I decided to get a damsel today. I ended up getting two of them. One is a 3 stripe damsel and the other is a blue damsel. I know that they will fight but they get along pretty well and it is only for awhile. I'll have pictures soon. What is the recomended time I should keep the lights on now?

good luck gettin them outa there. i still have mine in my 55g from like 2 years ago. hes not as bad as he used to be(larger fish now) but i would like to give him a nicer home at the LFS or my lil bros new tank. the blue one i have in my nano(fastest fish i ever saw) will not even leave his rock when i attemt to pull it out so good luck there. both seem to be ok living in the tanks tough.
as far as light i have mine on from 8am-11am, then from 5:30pm-12:15pm just mostly so i can see them. and for the rest of the times they get my rigged up moonlights

My damsels are so cool. They are really peaceful and I think that I could get them out pretty easy. I still need to get pictures tho, I'll have some soon. But are they mostly carnivorious?
