PC Light

I just got a PC light for my tank it's been on there for about 5 hours and already the temp is going up I've lowered the heater to about 74.. My question is what happen's at night when the light is of?

it's a PC with 2 10K bulb (55w). I would say my heater is at 74 to 75 degree's the tank is at about 82 degrees. I lowered the heater about a hour ago.
Do you belong to any saltwater groups in Ma?

you don't have to lower the heater to compensate for the increase in heat due to the lights, the heater has a thermostat and shouldn't go on if the temp raises past what you have it set for. what kind of heater is it? submersible or one that is partly above water? what brand?if its submersible your okay if its the other then you would have to lower.
