how many times a year shold u change pc bulbs on a fowlr with a lighting period of 5 hours a day is twice a year to much or not enough it is very hard to tell just by looking at the lights unless there tot :help: aly going bad

FIsh only I would run them untill they look dim or Go out. I ran My 10K's over my 125 gallon reef for 18 months and everything looked fine. I noticed that the new bulbs looked a little brighter when I put them on but you don't notice over 18 months the little decrease in brightness and the corals did not seem to notice either.
Of course you can get PC bulbs so cheap on a certain bid site that even if change them 1 time a year it's pretty darn cheap.
