20 long w/ 135 w coralife PC
frogspawn, torch, brains, zoas, shrooms, candy canes, blastos, hammer, GSP, xenia, kenya tree, bubble corals, RBTA, goniopora, ricrodeas, etc.

PC 384 watts on a 46 gallon bow front.

I have corals you dont really see kept under this type of lighting much. But I have been doing this for years and I am able to keep the water quality really good. I would recommend LPS and Soft corals.. Avoid clams and SPS
If.. you dont have the PC already i would really say just get a halide pendant or something.. Better light and can be cheaper in the long run. I have 4 power compact bulbs i replace every year. Thats 200 bucks in bulbs.. I think halide would be cheaper? All depends on what you get i guess. to be honest the only reasin I have this set of lights is Custom Sealife claimed they was the best thing since god made the sun. I will admit they are good no doubt but this setup cost me over 1k$ back in the day lol.

hey scoobs.....i bought a gsp bout 1 week ago and it is under 260w of pc and it looks like the purple stuff on the bottom of your tank and not like the one on the side..(that thing is huge) will you give some hope and tell me it will eventually look like yours

cut them.. like rip a small piece off it and alot of times that will trigger growth in them.. The ones on the bottom of my tank will prolly start to die off id i dont move them my frowspawn has got large enough now to sting them ><
I would mess with the GSP to much before they start opening up good and used to your tank tho

i have a 80 gallon reef tank 48" long with 260 pc, right now i know dont get mad but i have a clam (electric clam) from what i was told, some zoos, colony of GSP's and two diff leathers, upgrading here in next two to four weeks

i have a 75 with 2 oddysea 260 watt pc and i have a clam on my sandbed he seemed to luv it i had those lights for a year and a half i just upgraded to mh but i kept leather,frogspawn,hammer,plate corals,anemones,gsp,xenia,shrooms,elephant ear coral a seapen,torch and everything did fine but in the last month or so with the new mh and i cant even believe how much groth there is the xenia is like a weed and the gsp is just as bad so if you can save a lil money and just buy mh do it its worth it i need to find these pc a good home or does anybody have any good ideas for old pc lights?

i would save them...heaven forbid anything would ever go bad with your mh and it will be good to know you can just pull out your pc's and it will do till you get your mh's up and running
