So i usually never buy frags from my LFS because they are so expensive and they dont have a good selection. but i was down there today and picked up this orange ric for 10 bucks, and this "sea mat" for 15 bucks...anyone have any idea what the name of these zoos are...the green ones are the one i got from my LFS today, and the other zoos were sold to me as fire and ice, but they kinda look like sunset horizons to me..any opinions?

the green zoos i got today have been in my tank for 10 minutes, not even opened yet ill take a better pic later on when they are fully open

they're fire and ice zoas. I have sunsets and fire and ice, and they look pretty similar. Give them a couple of days and the blue will intensify a bit. Nice pick up on the ric and green zoos too :D

also to the left of the fire and ice theres a little aiptasia in the crevice. might want to get rid of it before they start to spread

haha well ive had them in my tank for about a month. i have 4 or 5 polyps of the fire and ice about 8 inches higher in the tank and they look just about the same. You guys think they are just green zoas? or they named? ill take a new pic right now they are open pretty good

ya ive been on top of the aiptasia problem. they are poppin up all over. my peppermint shrimp doesnt eat them, even though they are said to sometimes munch on them

My best friend got them so bad, she eventually just took all her live rock out and scrubbed it in fresh water. Needless to say, they didnt come back, but she basically had to wait for her tank to recycle, she had too much die off.
I wonder if you could spot scrub them... not the whole rock, just were they pop up, or squirt them with hotter water with a turkey baster. I've heard that works, but have never tried or seen it done before....

those green zoos remind me of sunsets with the pattern, but the color throws me off...
maybe mint sunsets? (idk, i just made that up :) )

well i got this aipstasia control stuff that goes in like a syringe that when i see them i stab them with and it kills them. i might go buy another 2 peppermint shrimp or so. is 3 to much for a 14g? ive also heard lemon juice or vinegar will kill them as well. i use lemon juice to control my yellow polyps from taking over and that works rather well. reefkeeprz told me that a while back
