No seriously, how much does he have you for now, all your hermits, your tang, and now a chromis, seems to me like we all need to figure out what hunts and kills mantis shrimp. Sorry about your luck, hopefully it will change and you will get the little terror.

Hey Fish,
A puffer or eel will work, but i have corals. I have more $ in corals then fish. :thinking:
mr mantis will stumble just have to be there.

I just got my Mantis trap THE EXTERMINATOR !!
3 days ago because it was in back order
tonight i just placed the trap with a huge Shrimp !!!
I think he is gonna get the bite !!!

Try cutting a pastic water bottle top off and flipping it over so the part you put your mouth on is inside the bottle. Then put some brine shrimp in the bottle and set the bottle by on of the mantis shrimps holes. I caught a manits out of my tank last weekend this way. Took a matter of mins to get him.

Do not give up, these guys are very clever... You will eventually get him but it takes time and lots of it. Try the pantyhosre trick....That is what I am currently using. Just cut the feet of and stuff some food in there and tie it off. I have been putting it all over the tank but not luck yet. My next step...............I am going to cover my entire sandbed with it and see what happens.... he Has got to come out....
