Peanut/peanut butter allergies

our daughter has peanut and peanut butter allergies, so we've been heart broken about not being able to give her pb&j sandwiches, since kids LOVE them...
so, after almost a year of know about the allergy, we were at a friend's twins' birthday party, and she had a sunflower seed butter as a substitute for PB. and omg, my daughter loves it :) $5 a small jar, but it's cool :)

BTW, Almond butter is really good too!

I was going to say the same thing ... make your own if you can't find it in the stores.

My kids like Nutello which is a hazelnut spread ... I guess the chocolate in it is a plus too.

Definitely try her with the Nutella. The kids would lick that stuff off the floor if they could.

My Grandfather used to make his own cashew butter. Don't think it was cause he was allergic, just loved cashews. My Grandma made some once (Granpa dirt napped before I was born) and it was pretty tasty but really expensive,
