Peanut worm?

Hello! Yesterday i went to the beach i gathered some rocks for my tank. When i got home, i broke a rock in two and found this thing. It looks like a peanut worm but im not sure. Anyways here it is:

You are a brave individual. Collecting rock from the beach is illegal in some states and it is potentially full of pollutants in all states. That is why live rock farms are permitted and located several miles offshore.

It looks like it to me. I would be careful about adding beach rock though. It might not be illegal to take but I guarantee it has chemicals in it that you don't want in your tank. Think of all the tourists that have walked on it or grabbed it with sun block on them or the boat engine oil that has washed up from the marina. You might not see it but I assure you it is there.
