pebbled/rearlscale butterfly help needed fast

I was wondering if a pearlscale butterfly or a pebbled butterfly fish would be okay in a reef tank? I have softies and lps..only one sps. Some sites say they would be okay...but Im not sure or not. Please help..my LFS has one on sale today only..and Im not buying it b/c its on sale, but b/c I want to add another fish...please help..anyone! Thanks!

well before i read this, i bought one. But, he seems to be fine..doesnt pick at any corals at all, and the guy at the LFS that is very knowledgable said it would be fine. When (IF) will he start to pick on corals? He seems to be fighting a little with my yellow tang..

most likely it will pick at hard corals. what fish did you get, a pearscale or a pebble?

the pearscale is very hardy as far as butterflies go. it will probably pick at corals. you may get lucky though.

Im praying..lol. I have been VERY lucky with my fish though..keeping 3 clowns together in a 75...

lol. do you have 3 clowns of the same species? are two a pair and the other a loner?
