pencil irchin

I have a pencil irchin for about three weeks, its still moves if touched but its points are angeled down and it had some new grouth but doesn't move threw the tank like my other irshins. Should i disgaurd it or is this normal for this kind can someone help

A teacher could help..
As for the pencil urchin I don't have any experience with them.

I have 2...sometimes they stay in the same place for a couple of days...their "pencils" moves ever so slightly...if you watch closely you can see them move
I would not throw it out unless you knew for sure it was dead....they are very slow moving creatures
