Pencil Urchin Not Moving

I've had my pencil urchin about 2 weeks now, and it hasn't moved in that time. I don't think it's dead because it will occassionally move a spine now and then. I put it on the rocks it fell off, I left it on the sand and it doesn't move!! Last night I put it on top of a green algae sheet and some spines wiggled around, but still hasn't moved, and this morning my turbo snail ended up with the algae sheet. Any help would be appreciated.
PS Water quality fine, lots of algae around (why I bought him to clean up a little), nice fishies only and snails as roommates, everything else doing fine. Thanks Again

I think it should of been acclimated alot longer. I have a pincushion and it is always on the go. Are it's spines falling off?

I don't think the acclimation time is a problem. I have 2 pencil urchins that I didn't acclimate at all and have had them both for over 6 months.
keep touching a spine or 2. if they move, it should be fine. do you have plenty of algae on the rocks for it to eat?
