Pencil Urchin Question

I stopped at the LFS today to pick up a flame angel I had looked at last week. My wife saw a pencil urchin and really wanted it. I want to get some more info on compatability before I but it though. I currently have a 150G tank with a foxface, blue tang, and dwarf lion. The flame angel is in the QT tank for now. Would a pencil urchin be OK in this tank? I'm not that familar with inverts so this is new to me.

I'm not too familiar with them as I have never had one but they are algae eaters and if you don't have very much they will eat your corraline. Their major downside is that they can move the rocks around and sometimes will even pick up zoos and carry them on their backs. Thats just a little info but if you want some more I would suggest google!

The urchin will be fine with those. They require an SG of 1.026 and a 4-5hr drip acclimation. Don't rush it. They take a month to die from acclimation shock.

sorry not trying hijack, but what would be an OK urchin if you had or intended to have corals?

I would not keep a slate pencil urchin in a tank with corals, in particular soft corals. It is not that they are coral eaters, but more that they are no particular in what they may graze a path through, IMO.

I'm not planning on having corals in this tank, that is set for another tank at a future date(hopefully near future, depending on the mood of the wife). I'm having a hard time finding out online how to tell a healthy specimen from a weak one and also what to feed them besides algae and how to do it.
