Pentagon Hood

Hi all,
I have a 44 gallon pentagon tank that I bought from petsmart. It came with the stock hood. I'm planning on purchasing a power compact light for my reef tank but I don't think I'll be able to use the light with the stock hood. Any recommendations on how to make it work out?? Should I build a new hood? :confused: :confused:

Definitely build a new hood. It's not very difficult to do, all the angles are 45* or 90*. I built one, it wasn't that difficult. Hardest part was finding good wood that wasn't warped.
