pep. shrimp always hides?

I introduced a peppermint shrimp into my 29g tank about 10 days ago - tank has been up for 6 weeks, only hermits and snails and a few aiptasia, which is why I put the shrimp in. I have 30 lbs live rock and 2 inches live sand. The second day I couldn't find the shrimp but saw bits of his shell floating around. I thought he may have molted and was hiding until he hardened up again, but hadn't seen any sign of him until today. He ate the aiptasia, but now he stays tucked in between two rocks all day. Is there something I can do to get him to come out during the day? The tank is in our dental office and the patients would love to see him out and about.
Thanks...

Pepps usually only come out at night or during feeding time. A cleaner or fire shrimp may come out more.

as stated above. perfectly normal that you may never see them. some can be trained to come out at feeding time but that involves knowing where they are hiding at in the first place.
IMO not a shrimp to buy to look at mostly gonna see results from them keeping tank free of aipstasia. Ive got 1 or 2, or 3 in my tank. who knows?
