Pepermint eating coral?

I saw a small chunk missing from one of my toadstool leathers at the base.. the only thing I added are 2 pep. shrimp.. is it possible they are responsible?

No, but you may have a bobbit worm that has matured enough to start eating your coral. Time to watch the tank under moonlights to see in what rock the eater lives.

It's possible, unlikely, but possible. I've seen peppermints eat mushrooms. I've also owned an ocellaris clownfish that ate coral, so anything is possible. What else is in the tank?
