peppermint pregnant

just got a few peppermint shrimp and the one was pregnant, anyone have any luck with them reproducing successfully ??

NAH...I have had quite a few with eggs...and then they don't have them anymore...I think they eat them

usually the eggs become a healthy snack for the rest of the tank. not sure if there has been success with actually breeding them without a seperate system to raise young. and then i don't know if it has been done or not.

You can also check out MOFIB -- google it... its a breeders site for fish/shrimp etc.
My peppermint shrimp are always carrying eggs.. actually noticed babies one night with a flashlight floating around. They are VERY fragile -- like bumping into the glass can about kill/maim them. I tried and kept some for a few days but no idea if they ate or not -- well I kinda tried and life got in the way and I wasn't fully set up.
Now, it's just a snack for the tank.
