Hiya,
Since I have these little pest anenome's in my tank, my first addition is going to be a peppermint shrimp. I was wondering, are they happier in pairs, or will one be fine by itself?:notsure:

I think that one is fine, but if you do them in pairs, I think they may mate. No babies, but free fish food.

Yea I've had 3 for about 8 or 9 months now. They have bred twice already! Like footbag says though, no babies as they all get eaten. Good luck though!

They seem to be more productive (eating pests) when kept in groups of 3 or more. Also there is more than one species of shrimp being sold as peppermints. One has black smudges on it's tail. Another has no black coloration at all. The best I've found for eating all sizes of apastias is the one with no black smudges on it's body.

Hiya,
Cool....went to my store, they've got a few in stock. I didn't realize they were so tiny.
Now...to deal with the dead claim.
