Peppermint Shrimp

Hi all! I was thinking of adding some peppermint shrimp to rid the tank of some aptasia (sp?). My question is, do I feed the shrimp anything? What will they eat once they take care of the ap? :thinking:

They are scavengers. They will eat any type of food you put in the tank.

Great! Will they bully my fish? All I have is a diamond goby and a clownfish.

nope they are fine with fish.

They'll leave your fish alone. They'll clean larger fish (or your hand).

omg, i love my peppermint shrimp. i got them about 3 weeks ago and they were about an inch long. i just put my hand in the tank to move a fallen rock, and one of them came right on my hand and walked all over it. it has grown about an inch long, and probably from 1/8" diameter to 3/8" and colored in quite nice.

My pepps don't touch aiptasia.

supposedly it is hit or miss if they will. i have read it depends on 1) if they were tank raised and 2) where they came from in the wild.
