peppermint shrimp

I don't think that they will eat them, but will pester them to the point that they will retreat and and not open.
The key is to keep them fed enough to not want to pester.
I had one, and will never get another....pestered my zoa's to the point of not seeing them. Got rid of the peppermint, and they are doubling in size.
There are too many other types of shrimp to chance it.

However, if I had aiptasia in the tank it would have done a great job, I do not have it...Thank goodness, so no need to ever think about peppermints.

if you dont have a true peppermint shrimp, it may eat your corals. Make sure you get a pure pepp. shrimp. If you look up the pepp. shrimp on this site it specifically says they are true pepp. shrimp.
Alot of LFS sell what 'looks like' pepp. shrimp; but they arent true pepp.s and they eat corals, instead of aiptasia.
I have a true pepp. he doesnt bother anything but aiptasia. He resides under a colony of Ricordea. He has never bothered the Rics (other than the occaision food stealing ) . He is a cute little ninja shrimp that hides mostly and is very benign.

Thanks for the replys, I moved the zoa's and the pepp. hasn't bothered it since. The zoa has also opened up so I'm sure it's fine. I only have compacts and was trying to put the coral as high as I could. I think I just put it to close to the shrimps hang out.
