I have heard that people keep their tank temps anywhere from 76 to 82 degrees. Personally I try to maintain 80. Please clarify this issue for me...what is the best temp for a reef tank?
Thanks,
Bob
Mine fluctuates between 78 and 80. I would say 80 is fine. Just make sure all the creates you are going to buy will be able to live and trive in those water conditions. Most should
There isn't one. Stability is the crucial factor. People keep them at 84 or 85 degrees sometimes. So there is quite a range, but in general the 80-84 range would, IMO, be relatively "normal reef" temperatures for some indo pacific regions. But it is stability in temperature that is the more significant issue. For example, I would have problems getting the tank to 80 degrees because of a whole range of factors. Mine tank runs 81-82 degrees. No worries
