Perfecto tanks???

Does anyone know if Perfecto makes a good tank or not? I was thinking about getting one but I wanted to ask all of you first. Thanks

ui have a 125 perfecto and have had no problems with them i think it good well not AS GOOD AS A OCEANIC BUT IT AWESOME THAT MY THOUGHTS :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

i also have a 125 perefecto, the only problems are that the center brace came broken, and they dont come with durso standpipes

I assume you got this (center brace) replaced, yeah? What was the warranty like?
Personally, I have little experience with Perfecto tanks. More with All-Glass and Oceanic. I suppose some would depend on the tank size you are considering.

nope we didnt get it replaced, its not cracked allthe way through , just the thin parts, so the main part of the brace is still good, no clue what the warrenty is (my parents bought the tank)

Perfecto is better than Allglass. I handled the returns for a distributor and 10x as many Allglass tanks came back due to leaks and pressure fractures. I never saw a Perfecto center brace break due to stress, they were always either broken by the customer leaning on it or having something sitting on top of it. Oceanic bought Allglass so maybe they're better now.

I used to have a perfecto and was happy with it. I now have an AGA and am happy with it too. On older tanks, strong lighting would damage the plastic center braces. I dont know if they make the braceing better now to handle strong lighting but I still cover mine with insulation to keep UV and heat from/off them.
