hey. we are setting up a 6g and wanted to know what you guys think is the most personable fish that would be best. it is going to be a reef tank. a lot of people suggested perculas, what about royal gramma? clown gobies? firefish?
thanks
Most personable small fish I have had is either the long finned prawn goby (carpet surfing) or my green goby (crushed in a rock slide)....
will be replacing both of these critters!
In my personal opinion, I don't like to see fish in anything smaller than at least 10g. Even small fish need to have SOME room to move. I would stick with inverts.
I agree with Kara... Once you remove the rock and substrate you would be left with 4 maybe 5g of water... The general rule for fish is 1in for every 5g. Go with Inverts ... JMO
thanks all. i agree with you guys about it being a small tank, im moving in late june/early july, so this is kinda a starter for the larger tank ill set up then, itll still be small, 29g probably.
right now the 6g is like an aprtment for the fish
IMO, pepermint shrimp are ugly. go with a pistol shrimp, fire shrimp, or a clown shrimp(i think thats what they are called).you could put a rock anemone in and get a porcelin anemone crab to go in it.(its the little crab with feather like ams to scoop stuff out of the water). maybe even camel shrimp?
