Petsafe Wireless Containment System Question

Hopefully someone has some experience in RF and EMF and can answer a question for me. I just purchased the Petsafe Wireless containment system for my two dogs. You set up the system inside your home and sets up an adjustable perimeter to keep your dogs inside when they wear the collar. The system works fine but the warning in the instructions give me concern as we have a 6 year old daughter.
It says that it conforms to all RF requirements enforced by IEEE etc. But it also says that is emits an EMF field at 3 feet equivalent to what a TV emits at 1 foot and recommends placing the unit in a closet or garage niether of which works for me. The best place for me to put it is on the floor of our upstairs bonus room about 20 feet from my daughters bedroom.
Are there any concerns to worry about? I don't know much about EMF but understand that most appliances and electronics emit them. Heck, my laptop in my lap I'm sure is emitting them right now. Can someone put this in perspective so I know whether I want to keep this or not?
Thanks!

It's nothing more than a radio transmitter...
If you want to put it in perspective... a cell phone sits right next to your head and transmits a lot farther than this thing... heck most cordless phones do.
Medicine has proved no definitive link between RF emissions and any health consequences. I wouldn't worry about it in the least.
