ph 8.0 good?

Shista 8.0 is ok , the best is 8.2 , to tell you the truth mine is 7.9 , and al-l my critters and corals are happy

More importantly what is your Alkalinity and Calcium level. If those two levels are where they should be and your pH is still 8.0 then it is fine, if alk or ca are low then fixing that will most likely bring your pH up.
Messing with your pH level alone is one of the most dangerous things you can do.

I agree completely, with Birdy. Test your alkalinity and calcium levels and post those... that will tell you a lot more than the PH reading.

I just wanted to chime in and say that I think stability of ph is probably more important than actual ph if you are in the 7.8-8.4 range.
